Alta-Oak Creek Mojave Project
The Alta-Oak Creek Mojave Project is located in Kern County, west of the unincorporated city of Mojave and south-southeast of the city of Tehachapi. More specifically, it is west of State Route 14 and south of State Route 58. The project is located almost entirely on privately owned land representing 17 different land owners.
The project will consist of up to 320 wind turbine generators and will include ancillary facilities and supporting infrastructure. Once completed, the facility will be capable of generating up to 800 megawatts of clean energy. Power generated from the project will be sold to Southern California Edison under an existing power sales agreement.
The permitting process for this project is underway; your questions and comments, as well as your support, is appreciated as we proceed with this project. After zoning approval, it is likely the project will be constructed over an 18-month to 4-year period.
